INT. COFFEE SHOP - DAY
CHIA-YI: May I have a cup of black tea and a tuna sandwich?
CASHIER: For here or to go?
CHIA-YI: To go.
CASHIER STARES AT CHIA-YI.
CASHIER: Hey! I have never seen a tongue pierced at that spot.
CASHIER (CONT’D): Look at mine.
SHE STICKS HER TONGUE OUT, FLICKING IT UP AND DOWN.
CASHIER (CONT’D): See? It's at the tip of my tongue.
CHIA-YI: Okay...
CASHIER: Not like yours, down the center of your tongue.
CASHIER (CONT’D): Why did you pierce your tongue ring there?
CHIA-YI: It's where I want it.
CASHIER: I’ve never seen one like that before!
CASHIER’S COWORKERS ALL TURN TO LOOK AT CHIA-YI.
CHIA-YI: Can I have my tea and sandwich to go now? please?
